Terms and Conditions

1. GENERAL

1.1 In order to book any service, you must pre-pay 50% of the price amount corresponding to each service or 100% for online bookings;

1.2 Cancellation Policy

1.2.1 Please reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.

1.2.2 Please reschedule your reservation in writing via email or WhatsApp.

1.2.3 Please reschedule your booking if your baby or companions show signs of illness.

1.2.4 If, with signs of illness, you still want the baby to carry out the session then you must be accompanied by a valid medical certificate authorizing it.

1.2.5 The amount paid to guarantee the appointment is non refundable. If you need to reschedule, you may do so up to 24 hours before the appointment time;

1.2.6 For cancellations within 24 hours, a voucher valid for a period of 6 months will be issued (the baby spa session voucher is only valid for babies up to 12 months old);

1.2.7 Services cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded;

1.2.8 No-shows are considered services performed and not refundable;

1.2.9 There is a 15-minute grace period. After this period, and in a no-show situation, the service is considered completed and not refundable;

1.3 Please arrive at our premises at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time. We want to offer you the best service without affecting the flow of other sessions.

1.4 In order to benefit from the service, BebeCare reserves the right to request a valid document stating the baby’s age.

1.5. While we try to keep the flow of sessions the same, keep in mind that babies can be unpredictable throughout their day, many factors can affect their threshold for stimulation such as lack of sleep; restlessness due to teething; excessive stimulation the day before, etc. Therefore, BebéCare cannot be held responsible if the session is shorter than expected.

1.6. Companions are welcome, however, to avoid hyperstimulation, we limit the number of people who can enter the hydrotherapy room to two adults per baby.

1.7. Before entering the hydrotherapy room, all adults must put shoe protectors and use the hand sanitizer available at the premises. Please also use hand sanitizer after changing a diaper.

1.8. Video recording of our operating procedures is not permitted. However, parents can photograph and film their own baby while in the water or during the massage. Please do not photograph or film another baby who is not your own.

1.9. All prices are subject to change without notice.

1.10. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

1.11. Please note the day and time of your appointment, as it is not part of our procedure to send reminders; however, we can do it from time to time as a matter of courtesy and not obligation.

1.12 We do our best to keep one baby per session, however the same session can be shared with another baby, nonetheless the bathtubs are individual.

1.13 We love babies and young children; however, their presence can have a negative impact on trying to maintain a calm and peaceful environment for babies who visit the spa. We kindly ask you that, if you bring other children that they are accompanied by an adult during the entire duration of your session. They are welcome to explore our reception area.

1.14 Before opting for a package, you should always do a first individual session, since packages are non-refundable.

1.14.1 The first session is always a full session including hydrotherapy and massage, this allows the baby to adapt to the water and avoid hyperstimulation.

1.15 Payment must be paid upfront for any package to apply.

1.16 All information collected and registed is confidential and for the exclusive use of BebéCare.

2. STARTER PACKAGE

2.1 The starter package consists of three (3) discounted sessions.

2.2 Sessions must be booked and used within a period of four (4) weeks after purchasing the package. After four (4) weeks all sessions not used expire.

2.2.1 Expired sessions can be used after the period of four (4) weeks only upon proof of a valid medical certificate referring the period of illness.

2.3 The amount paid for the starter package is non-refundable.

2.4 The starter package was created with the aim of allowing the baby to adapt to the aquatic environment gradually and therefore it is offered at a discount. It’s a single package and cannot be used more than once per baby.

2.5 Sessions can be postponed as per cancellation policy and before the stipulated four (4) week period.

2.6 Payment must be paid upfront for the package to apply.

3. TUMMY TROUBLE PACKAGE

3.1 The tummy trouble package consists of three (3) discounted sessions, with the aim of provide symptomatic relief of digestive discomfort in infants under the age of 2 months (8 weeks) old. Although it can be adapted for babies older than 2 months.

3.2 Sessions must be used within ten (10) days of package purchase and after these 10 days the unused sessions expired.

3.2.1 Expired sessions can be used after the period of ten (10) days only upon proof of a valid medical certificate referring the period of illness.

3.3. The amount paid for the tummy trouble package is non-refundable.

3.4 Sessions can be postponed as per cancellation policy and before the stipulated ten (10) days period.

3.5 Payment must be paid upfront for the package to apply.

3.6 We always recommend seeking a medical professional’s advice. It’s not within our scope to assess what could be causing the digestive discomfort. Hydrotherapy can provide symptomatic relief. In severe cases further intervention may be required to offer digestive relief.

4. OTHER PACKAGES AND MEMBERSHIP

4.1 Membership consists of four (4) baby spa sessions (hydrotherapy and massage) spread over four (4) weeks from the date of purchase. Others packages include three (3) sessions spread over ten (10) days or four (4) or six (6) weeks.

4.2 Sessions are scheduled based on availability.

4.3 The sessions referring to each package must be scheduled after its acquisition; Sessions can be postponed as per cancellation policy.

4.3.1 BebéCare will only postpone or cancel sessions on its own initiative in case of: Atmospheric lightning and thunder event (for safety reasons we do not perform hydrotherapy in these situations) OR in a rare event that BebéCare would need to postpone due to an unforeseen circumstance OR if the hydro therapist shows signs and symptoms of illness.

4.3.2 A thunder and lightning storm is unusual, but in the case of a possible occurrence and need for cancellation, BebéCare will inform you in advance to the best of our ability if there is any certainty in this regard.

4.4 Direct communications are typically performed over the WhatsApp. If this is not your preferred method of communication, please let us know.

4.5 We kindly ask that you inform us in advance if you would not be continuing with the subscription service the following month so that we are able to allocate the specific timeslot to another mom.

4.6 Membership and all packages are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be transferable to other individuals.

4.7 Payment must be paid upfront for the membership to apply, and all sessions must be scheduled for the week.

4.8 The infant sleep consultation + Baby Spa package must be used in its entirety within 30 days of purchase. The infant sleep consultation + 3 Baby Spa sessions package must be used in its entirety within 60 days.

5. VOUCHERS AND VALES

5.1 Refer to all vouchers and vales (discounted coupon) printed and numbered in the name of BebéCare and that can be purchased as a gift, won through a raffle, or offered by BebéCare.

5.2 The voucher guarantees the service, product or value mentioned in its front.

5.2.1 If the voucher is purchased online it will be sent by mail to the address provided at no additional cost.

5.2.2 If lost, stolen or destroyed, we will not replace it.

5.2.3 In order to use the voucher, it must be presented at the front desk as a payment method.

5.2.4 The voucher is non-refundable; however, it is possible to exchange it for another service of equal or higher value. Always check the services available at the front desk.

5.3 The services covered by the vale must be checked in advance at the front desk or through the alternative contacts.

5.3.1 The discount vale cannot be combined with other vouchers or vales and is not combinable with other promotions and offers.

5.3.2 In order to use the vale, it must be presented at the front desk.

5.4 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the use of the voucher or vale within the expiry date.

5.5 The validity period of the gift voucher is 3 months from the date of purchase.

5.6 Expired gift vouchers can be reactivated upon payment of 25% of the cost of the service and subject to BebeCare’s availability.

6. SERVICES AND CONSULTATIONS FROM ALL AREAS AND SPECIALTIES

6.1 The services and consultations provided by BebéCare are not a substitute of medical advice.

6.2 It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the person using the service or consultation is in good health to enjoy the service or consultation in a safe manner and without detriment to his or her health and well-being.

6.2.1 The customer should seek medical advice if any health problems arise.

6.2.2 Not all the professionals that practice in BebéCare are healthcare professionals and, therefore, BebéCare is not responsible for health problems that should be treated by a doctor.

6.2.3 The professionals practicing at BebéCare do not prescribe medications, diagnose and treat health problems.

6.3 The primary focus of the professionals practicing at BebéCare is to educate, empower, guide and advise the family in a variety of areas.

6.4 If any professional suspects any symptoms possibly associated with a health condition, they will recommend the client to seek the most appropriate health professional.

6.4.1 The responsibility for diagnosing and treating symptoms lies with the health professional.

7. INFANT SLEEP CONSULTATIONS

7.1 The sleep plan report is only included in the 4 Infant Sleep Consultation Plan option.

7.2 WhatsApp follow-up is only included in the 4 Infant Sleep Consultation Plan option, for 30 days during BebeCare opening hours.

7.3 The Infant Sleep Consultation includes a report with basic guidelines to facilitate the baby’s or child’s sleep.

7.3.1 In the 4 Consultation Infant Sleep Plan, follow-up begins on the day of the first consultation.

7.4 To complete the Sleep Plan Report, the client must fill in the sleep questionnaire made available online by the professional.

7.4.1 The Sleep Plan Report can only be completed once the sleep questionnaire has been received.

7.4.2 The Sleep Plan Report is sent in PDF format via WhatsApp or email within 48 working hours of the first consultation or the completed sleep questionnaire (whichever comes last).

7.5 The achievement of positive results after the consultation and follow-up depends solely on the commitment of the family and BebeCare cannot be held responsible for this.

7.6 100% payment for the online consultation must be made at the time of booking via the secure email sent by BebeCare.

7.6.1 Refund – Any refund issued by BebeCare is in the form of a voucher/credit that can be used for any service provided by BebeCare. A 100% voucher/credit refund is guaranteed for cancellations up to 24 hours before the appointment and if there has been no service, advice or delivery of the report up to that point.

7.6.2 After 24 hours, or if the consultation takes place or the report is delivered, the amount paid is non-refundable.

7.6.3 Cancellation – Cancellation requests must be informed by written message via WhatsApp +351928145894 or by email to info@bebecare.com.pt more than 24 hours in advance.

7.6.4 Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are not refundable in cash. The customer can reschedule a new date subject to BebeCare’s availability or receive a credit voucher to be used for any service provided by BebeCare.

7.7 BebeCare’s professionals do not apply behavioural approaches (sleep training) even if the parents present a recommendation from their health professional.

7.8 BebeCare is not responsible for the safety of babies and children in their room, in their parents’ room or in any bed where the child sleeps.

7.8.1 Parents are the only responsibles their baby and child safety, as the professional suggests the safest ways to put the baby to sleep, but is not responsible for the child’s physical integrity during the process.

7.8.2 The sleep consultation takes place at BebeCare’s premises or online and therefore the professional cannot check the sleep environment. Parents must ensure that the child’s sleeping environment is safe, that the child will not fall out of the cot and that there are no objects or devices that could cause accidents (fire, electric shock, suffocation, etc.).

8. TRAININGS, WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES

8.1 Please consult the specific conditions of each training course, workshop or masterclass on the initial enrolment page.

8.2 Cancellation Policy

8.2.1 The amount paid is non-refundable.

8.2.3 When possible the training, workshop or masterclass is recorded and the recording is made available for 30 days.
